EVANGELIST DR. DIANA D. MITCHELL
Biography

Evangelist Diana Mitchell’s foundational years in church and Christianity began under the pastorate of her late grandfather, the Reverend Augustus J. Moye, a Pentecostal, Holiness preacher in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC). She accepted Christ as her personal savior in December of 1986.
In ministry, Evangelist Mitchell was mentored and trained under the leadership of her father, Superintendent Douglas D. Moye Sr., pastor of Holy Temple Cathedral COGIC in Chicago, IL. This close mentorship began in 1987, which resulted in Evangelist Mitchell serving in several ministries at the church. These areas included choir member, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Secretary, and Director and President of Youth Ministries.
As a minister of the Gospel, Evangelist Mitchell received professional training and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Howard School of Divinity in May of 2006. In 2010, she furthered her education at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, where she earned a Doctorate of Ministry degree in May of 2013. Evangelist Mitchell’s doctoral work focused on the inequalities and sufferings of women in the “Black Pentecostal Church.”
Evangelist Mitchell’s overall ministry exemplifies a life of caring, sacrifice and service. She has a special love for family, children, and God’s people. As a traveling Evangelist, she particularly seeks to encourage youth and women to live their godly purpose with passion. In 2010, Evangelist Mitchell organized a nonprofit organization for women, titled Sister-to-Sister Mentoring. This organization was birthed out of a need and desire to provide a support system for women, which would assist them in overcoming life challenges, while achieving personal and spiritual growth. Through this organization, Evangelist Mitchell has been committed to helping women build self-esteem and confidence, through sharing life surviving skills, and biblical principles.
As a ministry servant of prayer, teaching and training, Evangelist Mitchell hopes to develop youth and women of integrity, who will create or enhance Better Homes, Better Schools, Better Communities, and a Better World for Jesus Christ.
